Who invented WPS?

The WPS technology was invented by Cisco and introduced back in 2006 to allow home users without technical knowledge create secure connections on their Wi-Fi network. The owner of the network can also easily allow people to use his/her Wi-Fi network just by pressing the WPS button on the home router.
